Established in 1908, the Maplewood Police Department exists to serve all people within our jurisdiction with respect, fairness and compassion. We are committed to the prevention of crime and the protection of life and property; the preservation of peace, order and safety; the enforcement of laws and ordinances and; the safeguarding of Constitutional guarantees.
With customer service as our foundation, we are driven by this goal to investigate problems as well as incidents, seeking solutions and fostering a sense of security in Maplewood’s residential neighborhoods, residents and business owners. The Police Department is responsible for all law enforcement and crime prevention activities within the City of Maplewood.
In addition to daily patrol activities, the Police Department conducts crime investigations and assists with residential and business crime prevention programs.
The Police Department also participates in a Community Oriented Policing program and also has an officer assigned to Juvenile duties.
